THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a COST ACCOUNTANT, Position Description Number D2372P01 and is part of the CO USPFO, National Guard.
Military Grades: E-5 thru O-5 or W-1 thru W-5 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2.
An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. Resume must be two pages or less. 3.
It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience. 4.
If education or a degree is required as part of the "Specialized Experience", you must include transcripts.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1.
Experience in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. 2. Experience in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material. 3.
Experience in presenting formal training presentations and briefings. Major Duties:
The purpose of this position is to perform review and analysis of the various procedures used in administering and operating the fiscal control systems of the state and to identify, determine the cause of, and take corrective action to resolve difficulties, problems, and inefficiencies within those systems and ensure costing structure is established and monitored in the systems at the state level.
Cost Accounting: The incumbent will analyze, examine, and interpret accounting data, records, and reports to determine past costs, identify improperly recorded costs, and reallocate cost to ensure they are recorded in proper cost structure.
Managerial Accounting: Provides accounting advice and recommendations to program managers and the installation staff.
Determines, selects, organizes, and analyzes appropriate data for the effectiveness and/or efficiency of operations for use in executing performance measurements.
Plans, coordinates, and performs comprehensive reviews, special studies, and selective internal examinations of USPFO functions pertaining to cost management environment under the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and its interfacing feeder systems (STANFINS/AFCOS, SPS, DTS, DCPS, GCSS-A, ODS, FCM, IATS).
Confers with representatives of other local offices/directorates to resolve USPFO problems associated with improper cost management attributable to functions under their jurisdiction.
Performs other duties as assigned.
