The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for a Sergeant (CO3) position at Stafford Creek Corrections Center (SCCC) in Aberdeen, WA.
This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent and non-permanent openings.
This recruitment is open to internal Washington DOC employees at this time.

Stafford Creek Corrections Center is a 1,936-bed multi-custody facility located five miles west of Aberdeen, on the southern Washington Coast.
There are seven living units for medium and minimum long-term custody Incarcerated Individuals and a restrictive housing unit for maximum-custody Incarcerated Individuals.

This position supports the Department's mission to improve public safety by supervising Corrections and Custody Officers and preforming custody work which involves maintaining custody and control of incarcerated individuals at Stafford Creek Corrections Center, an adult correctional facility.
This working supervisory position promotes safety and security by directing lower-level staff in controlling, directing, and monitoring the activities and movement of incarcerated individuals.
By maintaining security of the institution and controlling movement into, out of, and within the institution in accordance with established department methods and procedures, the Corrections and Custody Officer 3 ensures the safety of incarcerated individuals, staff and the public.
