Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing and maintaining records for the correctional system in a regional office, helping to support the operations of the Department of Corrections.

Correctional Records Technician (CRT) - Position CH18

Employee and Business Support Services Administration – SE Regional Records Unit

Yakima, WA


This position is eligible to telework part-time once initial training is complete.


The Employee and Business Support Services Administration has a permanent, full-time Correctional Records Technician (CRT) opening available. This position, CH18, is within the SE Regional Records Unit, which is located at the Ahtanum View Office in Yakima, WA.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor.

If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule. For questions, please contact the Human Resource Office.

Qualifications

In accordance with WFSE Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to internal transfer candidates ONLY.

Employees who meet the following criteria may apply:

  • You are requesting a transfer under Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
  • You are a permanent DOC employee.
  • You currently hold permanent status in the job class being recruited for in this job posting.
  • You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.
