Summary

This job involves managing and overseeing healthcare service contracts at a military medical center in North Carolina, ensuring they run smoothly and meet all requirements.

You'll review contracts, track their progress and finances, and help resolve issues between customers and contractors.

About the Position: This is position is located at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, NC within the Directorate of Resource Management, Department of Materiel Management.

Incumbent will provide health care services contract development, oversight, and administration for the Healthcare Contracts Division.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing contracts for completeness in accordance with established guidelines; monitoring contract activities/performance for compliance with contract speciation's; utilizing financial systems to track contract financials; and providing technical assistance to the customer and contractor with contract interpretation.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration, health care administration, public administration, or contract administration.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Major Duties:

  • Track and monitor new and existing healthcare service contract requirements.
  • Draft contract administrative actions to liaison with the Contracting Officer, Contractor and customer.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to servicing and receiving entities.
  • Evaluate contract performance to identify and improve service deficiencies.
