CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Full Job Description

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the NAWCWD PROCUREMENT GROUP, PM RTOIL/R&D/NTWP/FACILITIES DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Developing, executing, and administrating contracts in support of a range of supplies and services; 2) Applying contract policy during the solicitation, negotiation, administration, and termination of contracts.

3) Experience performing duties such as; procuring supplies and services; 4) Writing, editing, and preparing internal memorandums, templates, and/or business decision related correspondence.

• You will be performing a variety of duties leading to the defining, acquiring, and delivering of goods and services for their assigned customers.
• You will be performing analysis, evaluation, and development of new or improved acquisition systems.
• You will be responsible for collecting and organizing information used by others to make significant improvements to acquisition systems.
• You will prepare reports requiring review of information contained within various documents.
• You will prepare and reviews complex document packages in accordance with established requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
