Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator 3
Location: Burlington, WA
Closes: April 13th, 2026, at 5:00pm.

Description:
This recruitment is for one (1) full-time, permanent, Construction Project Coordinator 3 position for Parks NW Region. The position maybe housed in our NW office in Burlington or Parks Headquarters in Lacey, Washington. Working hours are generally Monday- Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm with the option for hybrid telework. This position will require you to travel as needed to accomplish assignments.

As a construction project coordinator, your primary responsibilities include managing consultants through the design and construction phases of capital improvement projects. This critical role requires an experienced construction project coordinator with good communication skills and a working knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of architectural & engineering design, project management, and construction for projects ranging from $250,000 to $5,000,000+.

About the position:
This position reports to the Northwest Capital Region Manager and directly supports the mission by providing project management services development projects. Additionally, this position coordinates, directs and reviews the development of contract documents, reports and studies by Architecture and Engineering (A&E) firms for park construction projects. Furthermore, this position provides construction management services and/or A&E construction management services for park construction projects. Lastly, this position develops costs estimates and cost analysis required for budget development and project costs.

This position is eligible for remote telework. It will also require frequent travel throughout the NW Puget Sound to park sites and occasional meetings at the Northwest Region office in Burlington, WA.

Requirements

Some of what you will do:
  • Responsible for all facets of capital project and consultant management functions including the oversight of planning, design, permitting, and construction for various capital, grant, FEMA, operations, partnership funded park development projects.
  • Solicit, develop, and negotiate AE agreements, personal service contracts, emergency contracts, and interagency agreements.
  • Administer AE agreements, personal service contracts, emergency contracts, and interagency agreements.
  • Provide construction management services for construction projects to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Bidding support and award evaluation services.
  • Administer AE construction management services.
  • Perform construction management services.
  • Develop capital budget submittals, including scopes of work, project cost estimates, and assist in the development of operational impacts for proposed development projects.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, landscape architecture, or closely related field, AND four (4) years of relevant professional experience managing architectural, site, and/or utility construction projects AND three (3) years of experience as defined below AND a valid driver’s license.
Required competencies:
  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and preparing design and construction documents in the office of a licensed or registered landscape architect, architect, or engineer.
  • Licensed landscape architect, architect, or engineer in the state of Washington.
