This job is for an instructor at a technical college who teaches classes on electrical systems for construction and industry, designs lesson plans, assesses student work, and guides students in their studies.
It involves covering topics like basic circuits, wiring for buildings and factories, motor controls, electrical machines, and safety codes.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience as an electrician who enjoys explaining technical concepts and staying updated on new technologies.
The Instructor reports directly to the Dean.
The primary responsibilities of the faculty member are to teach courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction; to design and develop curriculum; evaluate student performance; and to advise students.
The program area is the Construction and Industrial Electrician degree including all EEM courses ranging from DC/AC circuits, Commercial/ Industrial wiring, Motor Controls, DC/AC machines and Electrical Codes.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, or an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of related work experience.
