Full Job Description

You will serve as the E-2 Software Support Activity (SSA) Pt Mugu Team Lead in the Mission Planning and Off-Board Mission Systems Division, Spectrum Warfare Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band (DP-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading technical teams through various phases of the software lifecycle, including development, sustainment, integration, testing, and configuration management; 2) Applying knowledge of product lifecycle and procurement processes to guide the execution of software projects toward organizational goals; 3) Ensuring software development efforts comply with established cybersecurity and software assurance requirements; and 4) Managing software portfolios and overseeing contract execution to meet strategic objectives and organizational priorities.

• You will direct a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, developers, and testers to achieve project goals.
• You will manage a multi-million-dollar portfolio, overseeing both contract efforts and internally-developed software products.
• You will provide executive oversight for the full lifecycle of software systems, from development and integration to deployment and sustainment.
• You will ensure software projects comply with organizational policies for cybersecurity, software assurance, and configuration management.
• You will align engineering execution with strategic priorities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve system integration and capability delivery.
