Job Description

Summary

This job is for a Community Corrections Officer in Kennewick, Washington, where you'll supervise offenders in the community to help them reintegrate while ensuring public safety.

It's a full-time role with a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule in a state corrections office.

It's only open to current permanent employees of the Washington Department of Corrections who are in the same job class and represented by the WFSE union, making it ideal for internal staff looking to transfer locations.

Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) - Position GM75
Kennewick Office - 119 - Kennewick, WA

The Community Corrections Division has a permanent, full time Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) opening available. This position, GM75, is with the Kennewick Office Unit 119, in Kennewick, WA.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule. For questions, please contact the Human Resource Office.

Qualifications

In accordance with Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to internal transfer candidates ONLY. Employees who meet the following criteria may apply:

  • You are requesting a transfer under Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
  • You are a permanent DOC employee.
  • You currently hold permanent status in the job class being recruited for in this job posting.
  • You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.
