Summary

This job is for a Clinical Supervisor in a court-supervised program that helps people with substance use issues get treatment and reintegrate into the community.

The role involves leading the treatment team, planning program goals, supervising counselors, and sometimes providing direct counseling to participants.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Behavioral Science, Social Work, Counseling, or related field plus 3 years of professional behavioral health counseling, treatment, and supervision experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of substance use treatment methods, aftercare planning, clinical supervision, and court-ordered program guidelines
  • Extensive knowledge of evidence-based substance use and offender treatment practices
  • Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) certification by the Tennessee Board for Licensed Professional Counselors or LADAC licensure
  • Experience in a therapeutic community setting
  • Knowledge or experience working in the criminal justice system
  • Ability to provide leadership, strategic planning, and performance evaluation for treatment programs

Full Job Description

The Davidson County Residential Recovery Court (DC4) Treatment Program invites applications for the Clinical Supervisor position. DC4 is a court-supervised program that provides a continuum of treatment and community reintegration services for individuals who have a history of maladaptive substance use. The Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership and strategic planning for the treatment program, direct counselors' performance, and conduct individual and group counseling as needed. This is a Full-Time Grant-Funded Non-Civil Service position.

Requirements

Provide leadership and strategic planning of the treatment program

Direct, train, motivate, and evaluate the performance of counselors

Develop short and long-range goals for the program

Conduct individual and group counseling when needed

Assist in the development, supervision, implementation, and monitoring of program curriculum

Attend conferences, seminars, meetings, and training as required

Identify program needs and/or best practices in the field of addiction treatment

Keep abreast of current developments and trends in the field of addiction treatment

Assist with the coordination of community resources

Refer clients to specialized programs or services as needed

Maintain appropriate records and perform administrative duties as required

Perform file audits

Perform related duties as required


Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Science, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of professional-level behavioral health counseling, treatment, and supervision experience.

OR

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science or other related acceptable field and experience equivalent to five (5) years of full-time professional-level experience behavioral health counseling, treatment, and supervision experience.

AND
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of substance use treatment, aftercare planning, clinical supervision, and applicable guidelines about the operations of a court-ordered treatment program.

Extensive knowledge of evidence-based substance use and offender treatment required.



Additional Information
