Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as a clinical psychologist at a military medical center in Hawaii, where you'll assess patients' mental health, create treatment plans, and provide therapy to service members and their families.

About the Position: This position is located in Honolulu, HI at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.

or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes performing behavioral health assessments and/or psychological testing, developing behavioral health treatment plans and/or recommendations, and providing treatment to behavioral health patients.

License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S.

State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. Major Duties:

  • Conducting behavioral Health assessments: providing individual and group treatment: and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive and motivational approaches.
  • Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient care in accordance with federal, DoD, DHA, and hospital regulations.
  • Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
