About the Position: This position is in 35th Medical Group Misawa AB, Japan, serve as a Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health Consultant) to deliver evidence-based biopsychosocial assessment, treatment, prevention and management of behavioral health problems.

This is an open continuous announcement. The initial cut-off date is 20 January 2026, and thereafter, 3 February 2026, 17 February 2026, 3 March 2026 cut-off dates.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Major Duties:

  • Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
  • Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
  • Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
  • Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
