Requirements

As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for planning and organizing a comprehensive nutrition care program for consumers at Torrance State Hospital. Your work will involve conducting nutrition assessments, creating discharge planning diets, providing counseling, recording dietary charts, and participating in treatment teams. You will also develop nutrition education programs and continuously review and modify diets to ensure the best health outcomes for consumers. Additionally, you will monitor the general acceptance of the menu by consumers and make necessary adjustments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

  • You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
