Requirements

As a Clerk 2, you will be one of the first individuals that our community members will interact with, providing a positive impact on behalf of Wayne County Transportation Services (AAA).

This position performs a wide range of front desk and clerical duties for supervisors, staff, caseworkers, and administrative staff.

Some duties of this role include greeting walk-ins, answering phones, taking messages, data entry, scanning, filing, and processing mail.

You will work with staff to arrange travel accommodations and reservations when needed. Incumbents will demonstrate both professional and customer service skills while working in and out of the office.

Completing work in a timely manner is required to meet deadlines and allows for a smooth paperwork flow for case management staff.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position may have irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • This position may have some travel in and out of county for meetings.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or
  • Completion of a high school business curriculum; or
  • Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
