The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 (seasonal) for the Memorial Lake Park Complex located in Grantville, Pennsylvania. This position will serve as a member of the administrative and visitor service staff of the Park Complex.

Requirements

This position is part of the administrative and visitor service staff of Memorial Lake State Park Complex. This position is responsible for performing various administrative assignments, tasks and reports; works with the Pennsylvania State Parks Reservations & Revenue System (PRRS) in the collection of fees, and overseeing most of the visitor service operations of the complex. The employee in this position works independently on routine and non-routine jobs with minimal supervision, and is expected to perform duties in a responsible, professional manner. Assignments require familiarity with technical knowledge, and detailed knowledge of the functions, procedures, and organization of the Department and Bureau. Assists with the preparation of park purchasing, bids, contracts and documents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Seasonal, full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week without benefits.
    • There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Days/shifts will vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends.
  • The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.46 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
