Requirements

In this role, your primary responsibility is to provide clerical and office support within the Division of Health and Safety and ensure that clerical operations are done efficiently and effectively. Duties include responding to questions on program from constituents and coworkers regarding program operations and requirements, updating physical and computerized files, generating reports, recording and processing fees, and other administrative functions relating to the pesticide certification, licensing, and training program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Requirements (not required):
  • Professional experience providing customer service through verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish.
