General Responsibility
Perform a variety of specialized coding duties to assist the Computerized Criminal History (CCH) in maintain the state criminal history repository, including researching, entering, updating, and correcting arrest, judicial, and custody information.

Specific Duties
  • Review, research, and process criminal history modifications, expungements, and pardons. Enter disposition reports from general sessions, magistrate, and municipal courts to complete the judicial entry on the CCH repository.
  • Assist in record maintenance by reviewing detention center audit findings, disposition error reports, data discrepancy reports, and III daily reports.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, including State Court Administration, law enforcement agencies, and municipal, magistrate, and general sessions courts to make corrections and modifications to the criminal history repository.
  • Keep up to date on proper research and coding procedures to ensure accurate and complete information is added to the criminal history record with proper supporting documentation.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and assist other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma.
  • Must have clerical experience.
  • Relevant work experience or education may be substituted for the above requirements.
  • Must successfully complete NCIC Full Function Certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must be able to understand coding techniques and perform clerical duties.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgement and discretion in handling arrest, judicial, and custody information.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle calls from the public and other agencies in a professional manner.
