This job involves working as a civil engineer for the National Park Service in Wyoming, focusing on managing and maintaining facilities in national parks to ensure they are safe and functional.
You'll handle engineering projects like infrastructure repairs and planning for park operations.
It's a great fit for experienced engineers who enjoy outdoor settings and have a background in civil projects, especially those passionate about preserving public lands.
This position is located in the Division of Facilities Management and Operations. This is a permanent, full-time position.
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-03/24/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience.
For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted.
An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience.
For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience.
Failure to adequately provide information needed to determine number of hours worked in each position may result in that time not being credited when evaluating qualifying experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: BASIC REQUIREMENT - Successfully completed a full 4-year professional engineering curriculum, leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in engineering from an accredited college or university that has an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) OR successfully completed a full 4-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in engineering.

OR successfully passed the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) examination AND completed of all of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in engineering technology (BET) that included 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences as listed above.

Additionally, my work experience includes one or more years of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
