The Accounting and Finance Department is actively seeking a City Comptroller.
This position shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by Council, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The City Comptroller is the Chief of the Accounting Division. This position reports to the Director of Finance/CFO and works closely with other division chiefs and department heads to ensure that all financial transactions and records are accurate, organized, and compliant with government regulations and standards. The Comptroller provides functional leadership for the ERP system’s financial modules. The position oversees the management of financial reporting, fund accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and budgetary accounting for the City of Jacksonville’s Consolidated Government. The accounting division is staffed with 50 employees. Primary responsibilities include the following:A FULLY COMPLETED ONLINE APPLICATION IS REQUIRED. Apply at www.jacksonville.gov.
