This job involves working as an assistant in Army child and youth programs at centers for kids from infants to 12 years old, where you'll supervise children, plan fun and educational activities, and ensure their safety and well-being.
It's a great fit for caring individuals who enjoy working with children, have basic education, and can communicate well in English.
Entry-level positions are available, with opportunities to advance based on experience or further qualifications.
Positions are located at the Child Development Centers (6 wks-5 yrs) or School Age Center (6 yrs-12 yrs) at Fort Leonard Wood.
Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: must work at least 15 hours per week.
First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Please go to the Additional Information Section for upcoming Job Fair or School Age Center details.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: For Entry Level (CY-01): At a minimum, must have a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Must be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
