Full Job Description

The Chief of Staff serves as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation's Inspector General (IG).

The Chief of Staff assists the IG with all functions of the office and performs a variety of sensitive liaison assignments, including communication in support of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), as well as providing leadership in OIG's day-to-day operations.

In order to qualify for this position, the ideal applicant will have senior-level project managerial skills and leadership experience; experience preparing and presenting technical findings in briefings, testimony, and hearings; and experience applying relevant regulations, principles, decisions, statutes, and laws to specific audit, investigative and administrative issues or problems.

Please Note: Applicants may be asked to produce a writing sample during the interview stage. Major Duties:

Serves as a member of the senior OIG leadership team, participating in the planning, policy, and development of the OIG's congressional affairs, public affairs, and management of the office.

Provides expert direction to aid in the management of the OIG's worldwide audit, investigation, and inspection activities.

Serves as the principal IG liaison to Members of Congress, their staffs, and staffs of relevant committees to promote the IG strategic plan, accomplishments, activities and agendas.

Engages in public outreach, stakeholder engagement, and representational opportunities to showcase the goals and strategic vision of the OIG.

Serves as the principal representative for the IG and Deputy IG on administrative matters related to OIG day-to-day office management. Please Note: This is not a Bargaining unit position.
