This job is for a top leader in the investigations team at South Carolina's prison department, where you'll oversee law enforcement staff, plan major probes into crimes, and work with other agencies to keep things running smoothly.
It's perfect for someone with lots of experience directing police or corrections officers who thrives in high-stakes, on-call situations.
You'll help shape policies and ensure everything follows the rules while managing resources wisely.
Reports directly to the Inspector General or their designee to serve as Chief of Investigative Regions for SCDC's Office of Inspector General.
Participate in the detection of crime and the enforcement of criminal law.
Plans, coordinate and direct the activities, and investigative operations of Law Enforcement Personnel within SCDC's Office of Inspector General.
Provides liaison and assistance to local and state law enforcement as needed. May need to respond to after-hour emergency calls or natural disasters.
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and experience supervising law enforcement personnel at a public law enforcement agency.

This position requires travel among assigned facilities/locations within the state. Agents are assigned a permanent vehicle for official use. Some overnight travel for emergency situations or to attend training may be required.
