This job supports the daily operations of a state veterans' cemetery, helping with burials, grounds maintenance, administrative tasks, and coordinating services for veterans' families.
It involves working closely with staff, contractors, and the public during emotional times like funerals.
A good fit would be someone organized, compassionate, and comfortable with flexible hours, especially if they have experience in administration or customer service in sensitive settings.
This position is part of the Veterans Affairs branch and is located at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, which provides for the interment of eligible veterans and their spouses and other eligible dependents.
This division is responsible for coordinating and maintaining Cemetery operations and state of appearance befitting the dignity of those interred therein.
This position will assist the Cemetery Director in the management, administration, and supervision of interment operations, grounds, and facilities maintenance, administrative operations, data entry, records management, and landscaping.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications
Four years of general administrative service experience with preference given to candidates with funeral/cemetery experience.
