About the position: This position will be assigned to the NAF Accounting Office on Nellis AFB, NV. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience which has demonstrated arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy, and attention to detail, and the ability to apply well established, simple repetitive accounting procedures.

Ability to resolve common arithmetic problems and make change when receiving payments from customers.

Must possess progressively responsible experience in receipt and disbursement of cash, credit card transactions, Cashier reports, and all other related monetary items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.

Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.

Typing skills are desirable. Major Duties:

The purpose of this position is to provide quality control for the Cashier Office at NAF AO.

Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties; accepts payments, checks, makes change; may prepare and issue change funds, bank deposits, and daily reports.

Performs cashier functions in support of other staff involved in the sales of services or merchandise. Receives money, issues receipts, makes change, and completes related cash control forms.

Applies official regulation to cash management and accountability of Non-appropriated Funds (NAF) in a Central Bank Operation.

Performs clerical work in support of technical administrative management and/ or operational requirements.

Duties include reorganize, research disposition tables and rules, and maintain the Files Maintenance and Disposition Plan for FUND 51, FUND 70, and FUND 71.

Will assist Non-appropriated Fund Accounting Office with making copies, filing, answering telephones, and miscellaneous duties in the office.

May be required to deliver paperwork from one office to another. Download Paymentech and process fees and charges. Process paperwork for private organizations and prepare for approval.

Balance subsidiary accounts and track balances. Assist in out-processing of NAF and Military personnel. Review and audit Form 1876, make corrections if necessary.
