Administrative/Clinic Duties:
* Plans, coordinates and/or performs support service activities for the TB Program and assists in preparation of contact investigation supplies and documents.
* Presents to the site where the TBRN requests in order to assist with clinic or other assigned duties.
Assures the TB clinic is prepared for patient care with supplies and records available on a day to day basis.
Enters TB client(s) data and appointments into electronic systems and program specific data tool(s); TB contact(s) data entry per policy, program specific tool(s) and SCION; Management of paper records per policy; Schedule appointments as requested be TBRN.
Sends client letters as designated.
* Coordinates with internal and external providers with records requests/correspondence. Assures TBRN(s) receive reports/records.
Assists the TBRN and/or Unit Manager with generation of information /data required for reports; Performs surveillance activities upon request of TBRN, TBUM and/or Tuberculosis Central Office (TBCO).
* Maintains records and reports in accordance with agency standards including documentation in the patient record EHR, Personnel Cost Accounting System (PCAS), South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS), weekly reports, etc.
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities such as record reviews, team meetings, etc.; Maintains up-to-date agency trainings, and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) and phlebotomy competencies per policy.
Patient Care:
* Assists with coordination of Video Directly Observed Therapy (VDOT) for treatment of tuberculosis infection and/or disease as delegated by the TBRN. Can be in the clinic setting or in the community.
Notifies designated TBRN if the client(s) misses a scheduled visit for Directly Observed Therapy (DOT)/ Video Directly Observed Therapy (VDOT) or misses other scheduled clinic visits.
* Utilizes incentives and enablers to assist with adherence. Provides groceries and transportation with Tuberculosis Program Manager (TBPM) approval.
* Perform phlebotomy to collect ordered blood specimens for program surveillance and follow-up activities as directed by the TBRN.
Emergency Response:
* Assists with DPH Shelter operations.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

IMMUNIZATION: All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Pertussis, Varicella, and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.
