Explains program policies, procedures, and regulations for participation in specialty court. May conduct individual and family assessments as needed for participants with additional needs.
May develop case plans for assigned caseload. Ensures participant compliance with conditions assigned by department head and conducts reviews in accordance with department policy.
Maintains and updates chronological documentation reflecting contacts and casework initiated with participant, family members, victims, and service providers.
Organizes files and monitors cases from admission through disposition. Updates the judge, program manager, attorneys, and other team members of any change in status.
Maintains statistical data and submits reports to department head as specified. May educate the public about diversion programs supervised by Criminal Courts Administration.
Monitors urinalysis and drug test results.
Maintains high volume of ongoing phone and written communications among program participants, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, family members, court personnel, and other County departments.
Makes referrals to treatment and education classes with other agencies while operating within departmental confidentiality procedures. Prepares and submits court reports for court proceedings.
Attends court hearings and provides information to the Court as directed by the department head. Performs all other related duties as assigned by the department head.
Qualifications Master's degree in criminology, corrections, counseling, law, social work, psychology, or a related field may substitute for required experience.
