Job Purpose:
This internship supports the Business Services Division of the South Carolina Department of Commerce by contributing to small-scale projects, assisting with the coordination of virtual and in-person events, and providing operational support in the areas of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database management, research, and reporting.
The intern may work across any of the Division's program areas, including Existing Industry, Recycling, Trade, Supplier Outreach, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Emergency Management, Portfolio Accounts/Grants and Industry Liaison, under the direction of Division leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Students of any major, both graduate and undergraduate, are encouraged to apply.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
This position offers flexible scheduling, including the opportunity to work up to 37.5 hours per week during the summer.
