Full Job Description

You will serve as a BUSINESS MANAGER in the Special Operations Command, Pacific (SOCPAC), Logistics Directorate (SOJ4) of COMMANDER, SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as: 1. Managing and overseeing acquisition or business operations programs of significant scope and complexity. 2.

Applying Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFARS, or equivalent contracting frameworks to program planning, compliance, and execution. 3.

Leading program management activities involving cost, schedule, and performance baselines for large, high-visibility programs. 4.

Providing expert interpretive guidance on procurement or acquisition policy to senior leaders. 5. Supervising or leading a workforce engaged in acquisitions, logistics, or program management.

  • You will serve as Chief for SOCPAC Business Development and Operations and operates as the primary advisor to command on all matters pertaining to Business Operations and acquisitions.
  • You will define, establish and direct organizational focus on challenging and highly complex acquisition projects/programs.
  • You will advise Director of Logistics of significant actions or problems and recommends solutions.
  • You will serve as a senior procurement and acquisition advisor on contracting policy and execution issues for high dollar value contracted services of high visibility and criticality to National Defense Strategy objectives.
  • You will review command procurement activities for the purpose of identifying policies, methods, and procedures which would benefit from efficiencies of scale, standardization, or other quality improvements
  • You will represent Business Operations and the Logistics Directorate at executive levels within the government and to contractor organizations.
