Full Job Description

This BUDGET ANALYST position, is located in the JFHQs directorate or division level office and is part of the CA JFHQ G3.

General Experience: Possess experience, education, or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; the ability to plan and organize work; competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences; the ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.

BUDGET ANALYST, GS-0560-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: performing moderately difficult and complex assignments consisting of well-precedented tasks; Experience independently planning and carrying out successive steps and handling problems and deviations in work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices; Experience applying principles, concepts, and theories of budgeting; Experience performing studies and preparing reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly AND; have at least three months of basic finance budget training or competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures with knowledge of basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the BUDGET ANALYST, GS-0560-9, is to serve as the analyst and consultant for the management and administration of budget programs within the directorate/division.
