About the Position: This position serves as supervisor over the Blocker and Bracer Operation Works exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations in planning distribution, prescribing deadlines and day-to-day operations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Blocker and Bracer Supervisor without more than normal supervision.

Must possess the ability to perform common technical and administrative supervisory duties.

I can prioritize workload based off priorities and future deadlines; implement training plans; and perform blocker and bracer operations.

I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Ability To Lead or Supervise Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Major Duties:

  • Establish deadlines and set priorities based on daily assignments.
  • Review work in progress and upon completion.
  • Ensure all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site.
  • Explain all work requirements, methods, procedures, specific hazards and safety precaution to all personnel.
  • Examine and secure freight for shipment or storage.
