Full Job Description
Perform operation and maintenance of equipment, vehicles and related grounds equipment at McCrady Training Center, McEntire and other SCARNG training sites as needed. Operate and maintain necessary machinery to include agricultural tractors, loaders, man-lifts, lawn mowers, bulldozers and chain saws. Change oils, fluids, belts, and lubricate equipment prior to use. Operating tools and welding equipment to build, fabricate and repair parts for equipment. This includes AC/CD portable welder, torch, plasma cutter, and milling machine. Landscaping and grounds maintenance. Removal of dead trees caused by lightning strikes and bug infestation, grinding of stumps and debris removal. Transport and haul equipment to perform daily job functions. Preferred experience in horticultural with certification and or grounds maintenance.

Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s license. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to climb and work form ladders, stairs, and scaffolding. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50/75 lbs. Must be able to work in confined spaces; hot, hazardous, and noisy locations; and in adverse weather conditions.
