This job involves operating various machines to finish and prepare printed materials, such as cutting, folding, stitching, and collating documents, while also managing inventory and delivering items around the county facilities.
It's a hands-on role in a print shop setting, supporting government departments with quick printing needs.
A good fit would be someone with basic experience in bindery or printing equipment who is reliable, physically capable, and comfortable with variable shifts including nights and weekends.
Provide finishing service for all printed material (pad, glue, drill, wrap, cut, stitch, perforate, punch, cerlox, collate, etc.). Operate in excess of 30 pieces of bindery equipment.
Operate high-speed computerized copier for quick turn around of books, poems, etc. Maintain stock area, deliver printed material, and pickup job request orders.

Operates computerized automated high speed precision power paper cutter Sets up and operates perforators, stitchers, shrink-wrap, and three-hole hydraulic drill Sets up and operates large, high-speed, floor model folder Operates computerized collators with stitcher, folder and trimmer Operates computerized copiers Wraps, pads, cuts and prepares jobs for pickup or delivery and assists customers Responsible for delivery to and pick up of job orders from requesting departments and corresponds to graphics, printing and photo lab Responsible for inventory and maintenance of graphics warehouse Performs all other related duties as assigned Qualifications NOTE: You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience/education as required by hiring department or be disqualified.
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) full-time year related experience using bindery equipment.
Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.THIS POSITION MAY REQUIRE OVERTIME, ROTATING SHIFTS, NIGHTS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAY WORK.
(THE SELECTED CANDIDATE(S) FOR THIS POSITION MUST TAKE AND PASS A PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION) If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment.
A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
Additional Information While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to lift, walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, push and pull.
This position may require overtime, rotating shifts nights, evenings, weekends and holiday work. Candidates must have the ability to pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.
