This temporary, on-call role at a residential treatment facility involves supporting adults with serious mental health issues or addictions by helping with daily activities, monitoring their well-being, and assisting in a team to create a safe and caring environment.
Workers will handle tasks like giving medications, leading skill-building sessions, transporting residents, and keeping records, often covering night shifts as needed.

Marion County Health and Human Services is seeking a compassionate, energetic and flexible individual to work in its Horizon House Residential Treatment Facility.
This individual will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide Person-Centered mental health treatment services in a 24-hour residential setting, serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness or chemical dependency.
This position is an opportunity to build experience working in a therapeutic milieu environment, administering medications, maintaining documentation and communication with staff, and transporting residents as needed - ODL is required.
This is a potential opportunity to gain hours for credentialling. Temp/On-call positions generally help cover 8–10-hour shifts as needed, the most emergent need is graveyard coverage.
Temp/On-call Aides are required to cover at least two shifts per month and may take on as many additional shifts as they are willing/able.
Response Level 2: In the event of an emergency, employee makes a reasonable effort to report to work. Employee may be required to perform duties outside of their regularly assigned duties.
Employee may be requested to work an extended or flexible schedule. Staff at this response level must complete Incident Command System 100 and 700 on-line or in-person training.
This position may be subject to the following: Must not be excluded from participation in the federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits); AND must not be excluded from participating in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No.
12549).
Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving history.
Marion County will obtain a copy of the driving record for all qualified applicants from Driver and Motor Vehicle Services and review the driving record according to the Marion County policy and procedure for Driving on County Business.
