or J.D.) accredited by the American Bar Association; and - Active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.

(A copy of the applicant's bar card or letter from the bar may be acceptable evidence); and - Professional legal experience in excess of 3 years that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Salary will be set within the range specified in this vacancy announcement based on the complexity of work to be performed, the selectee's experience, education, training, and availability of funds.

Specialized experience required for this position is: Providing legal support, advice, and counsel on a broad array of complex issues involving administrative and personnel law and regulations, ethics/standards of conduct, Freedom of Information (FOIA) and/or Privacy Act.

Major Duties:

As a ATTORNEY-ADVISER (GENERAL) at the GS-0905-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as Associate General Counsel of DSCA and assists senior attorneys as peer by providing legal support, advice, and counsel to staff under the guidance of the DSCA General Counsel (GC) and senior DSCA attorneys.

Provides legal support, advice, and counsel on a broad array of complex problems involving administrative and personnel law and regulations, standards of conduct, Freedom of Information (FOIA) and Privacy Act.

Represents DSCA and DoD at administrative tribunals and on matters of civilian personnel law FOIA, Privacy Act and other administrative litigation, and conducts all activities associated with the effective representation of the Agency.
