This job is for an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division, where you'll represent the government in court cases involving things like fraud in healthcare programs, lawsuits against the government for injuries or discrimination, and property disputes.
You'll handle everything from investigations and negotiations to trials and appeals, working with federal agencies to enforce laws fairly.

Applicants must be comfortable processing, using, and comprehending large electronically stored discovery records.
Successful applicants must demonstrate an ability to make critical decisions to successfully position the United States for an optimal outcome in litigation.
Applicants should exhibit strong interpersonal skills, including the skill to present complex oral arguments to district and appellate judges, and the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with the court, opposing counsel, and client agencies.
Applicants must have a well-developed attention to detail and accuracy to present issues, arguments, and evidence with a high degree of professionalism.
Successful candidates should also possess computer literacy skills including experience in automated legal research, electronic court filing, electronic e-mail, and word processing systems and similar software.

Attorney's Office represents the United States and its client agencies in civil and criminal litigation before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma and in appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
The U.S. Attorney's Office is accepting applications for the position of an Assistant United States Attorney to serve in the Civil Division.
The attorney selected for this position will work closely with federal agency and law enforcement partners to investigate and prosecute civil enforcement cases involving fraud, waste, and abuse in government healthcare programs, procurement, and other services.
The attorney will also handle defensive torts (including property damage and personal injury claims, such as medical malpractice cases), employment discrimination, land condemnations, foreclosures, defensive environmental claims, challenges to agency actions, and bankruptcy.
Civil Division AUSAs actively prosecute or defend civil cases at all stages of the investigation and litigation processes including at the trial and appellate levels.
Civil Division AUSAs also take depositions, prepare and answer discovery requests, negotiate settlements, engage in motions practice, conduct trials, draft appellate briefs, and argue cases before appellate judges.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
