This job involves helping run youth sports and fitness programs for children on a U.S.
Army base in South Korea, including organizing team sports, clinics, and health activities while ensuring safety and following guidelines.
It supports the growth and development of kids through fun, age-appropriate initiatives and managing coaches and volunteers.
A good fit would be someone passionate about youth sports with experience coaching kids and a background in physical education or child development.
This position is located at Youth Sports and Fitness, Daegu, South Korea.
Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: A bachelor's degree or higher which included a major course of study or at least 24 semester hours in physical education.
OR All of the following equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level: 1.
Experience in the planning, supervision, administration, or delivery of a sports or physical education program which included a variety of individual AND team sports. 2.
Experience in providing skills development and teaching the techniques of various sports. 3.
Experience coaching multiple sports or providing coaches with sports-specific training in coaching techniques and required skills/fundamentals.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Applicants with experience in the following areas may be considered Highly Preferred and sent to management first for consideration.
Highly Preferred candidates will possess ALL of the following: At least 2 years experience working within Army Child And Youth Services (CYS) Youth Sports, or Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) Athletic Department.
Experience coaching AND officiating various types of sports, both team AND individual sports, conducting performance evaluations, and managing (from planning to execution, setting up and running) youth sports leagues (basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, etc.), youth camps and clinics (team or individual sports, to include high active games and activities that involve fitness and nutrition, mindfulness, and overall wellbeing).
Experience utilizing Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) or similar child/youth management systems. This experience must be clearly defined on your resume.
Recommended highly-qualifying: In addition to meeting one of the requirements above, highly qualified candidates will possess experience in the planning, evaluation, or delivery of a sports program or curriculum specifically for children or youth; or at least 12 semester hours in college coursework directly related to children or youth (i.e., PE for children, motor skills development, childhood development, early/elementary/secondary education, health/nutrition for children, child/adolescent psychology, etc.) Major Duties:
