This job involves helping ensure that research and teaching at Clemson University safely handle radioactive materials, x-rays, lasers, and other radiation sources by developing programs, conducting inspections, and providing training to staff and students.
It requires working closely with teams to spot risks and keep everything compliant with state and federal rules, with the ability to step in for the main safety officer if needed.

Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree - Health Physics or closely related field
Work Exp 3+ years
Certified Health Physicist (CHP) or eligible for certification
National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Certified Laser Safety Officer (CLSO)
