About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation at Maxwell, AFB.. This is a Regular Full-Time position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Progressively responsible management experience in recreational and/or hospitality operations with knowledge of funding streams and demonstrated work experience developing and executing budgets and marketing.

Ability to supervise a diverse workforce. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; deals effectively with subordinates, management officials, and patrons.

Ability to use a computer and various Microsoft Office software. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. may be required.

Must have ability to work uncommon hours to include nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

The following are duties you may be required to accomplish but it is not all inclusive: - Responsible for management control and efficient operation of Maxwell Recreational Area.

- Responsible for oversight of the front office, housekeeping, and maintenance functions.

- Establishes procedures for internal operations ranging from maintenance schedule, cleaning checklists, vehicle operations, inventory control, resale, funds handling, and customer service procedures.

- Performs periodic inspections of activity to ensure sanitation, maintenance and repair standards are met and maintained.

Implements new policies or innovative promotions that increase occupancy rate, deliver quality guest service, and maintain the required level of profitability.

- Develops and implements strategies/procedures to ensure safety and security of occupants - Directly supervises employees, counsels and trains employees, schedules and directs work, appraises work performance .- Approves or disapproves leave, and personnel actions .- Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse.
