Summary

This job is for an assistant golf professional at a military base in Fort Lee, Virginia, where you'll help run daily golf operations, teach lessons to individuals and groups, and organize events to keep players engaged and happy.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to assist in marketing, scheduling, and running golf activities and tournaments
  • Completion of required training per DoD, Army, and local standards
  • Capability to follow directives for efficient, profit-oriented business operations

Full Job Description

This position is located at Fort Lee, VA - MWR - Golf. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.

Must possess the ability to instruct the game of golf as evidenced through completion or current enrollment in pursuit of Class A PGA Certification.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Current Class A PGA certification.

Major Duties:

  • Will provide care for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army and local policies, guidance, and standards. Will interact with patrons and deliver superior patron experience.
  • Encourages patron interest, participation, and helps promote a positive golf experience. Completes designated training requirements and records completed training. Assists in the daily operation of the Golf Activity.
  • Carries out instructions and directives as necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Assists in the marketing and promotion of the golf activity and programs. Provides golf instructions to individuals and groups.
  • Assists in the scheduling and conducting of golf related activities and tournaments. Performs other duties as assigned.
