Assistant Custodial Supervisor

Full Job Description

The Assistant Custodial Supervisor coordinates and directs all aspects of the custodial department during 2nd shift. Supervises and manages all custodial resources and organizes and implements training for clean facilities for Spartanburg Community College - Spartanburg (Giles) Campus.

Supervises custodial staff. Responsible for recruiting staff, managing performance through periodic evaluations of all full-time and part-time employees, and providing proper safety and job performance training for custodial operations.

Maintains an efficient custodial operation for SCC campus facilities. Assists in the planning, prioritizing, and coordinating of all duties and activities related to custodial services at SCC.

Plans and conducts comprehensive and organized inspections of all facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Maintains accurate inventory of materials and supplies, and equipment for the department, and maintains adequate inventory. Replenishes supplies as necessary. Coordinates maintenance, storage, and repair for all custodial equipment.

Requirements

A high school diploma and custodial or groundskeeping experience directly related to the area of employment.

Qualifications

Custodial supervisor or lead experience. Extensive technical knowledge of all phases of janitorial floor care.

Additional Information

Flexible and willingness to respond to special needs of college, ie, special set-ups, clean-ups, or weekend activities at all college campuses may be required.
