Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks a lawyer to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Statewide Prosecutions Section, sexually violent predator prosecutor.

Description:
The Attorney General’s Office seeks a proactive and dedicated attorney to join the Statewide Prosecutions Section. This role will primarily focus on handling sexually violent predator cases as found in Iowa Code 229A. The attorney will also prosecute a variety of criminal cases, appear in courtrooms across the state both in-person and virtually, and serve as a key liaison for county attorneys and local law enforcement.

Requirements:
This position requires: a license to practice law in Iowa; a dedication to public service; and demonstrated research, writing, and oral-advocacy skills. The most competitive applicants will have experience as a prosecutor and in practicing both criminal and civil law.

Annual pay ranges from $62,337.60 –$153,420.80, depending on experience.
