Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ARTILLERY REPAIRER, Position Description Number D1224000 and is part of the LOGISTICS, National Guard.

This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Military Grades: ENLISTED ONLY.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic system operations.

Experience demonstrating the ability to fit and adjust parts and assemblies.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18 months experience or training demonstrating a broad knowledge in repairing, rebuilding, modifying and testing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and major components of artillery systems.

Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining needed repairs in artillery systems. Experience demonstrating the ability to inspect artillery systems.

Experience which demonstrates the ability to develop test standards. Experience interpreting and applying drawings, schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. Major Duties:

  • The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, and inspections on the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components on armored vehicle turrets.
