Already possess the required certification must be certified by a city-approved agency.Have considerable knowledge of pool operational procedures involving backwashing system and pump priming.
Have completed Houston Parks & Recreation Department's Supervisor Training Workshop, within one month of entry into classification.HPARD will fill this position subject to the current status of the pandemic and the approval to offer the summer program.**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.** Additional Information SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIREDThe selection process will involve application review and/or interview.New applicants must successfully pass a Lifeguard Swim Evaluation for consideration.
