You will serve as an AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL & REPAIR SUPERVISOR in the INDUSTRIAL EXECUTION DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
The incumbent will exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers of various series in accomplishing Aircraft and Component repair overhaul, modification, and manufacturing.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE performing duties such as: 1) Directing the work of artisans either directly or through subordinate leaders, in accomplishing trade and labor operations; 2) Providing skilled personnel, processes, tools, facilities, and core technologies to support IPT requirements; 3) Planning the use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and other resources to accomplish work operations planned on a day to day, week to week or quarter to quarter basis; 4) Establishing priorities and deadlines as well as task sequencing planning of work assignments for artisans based on schedules, resources and skill level while considering individual deadlines and applying the various resources to meet or beat all due dates; 5) Assigning work to artisans, verbally or in writing or through subordinates leaders indicating methods and equipment to be used; 6) Maintaining administrative records of individuals to include time and attendance, man-hours expanded, and labor attestations; and 7) Tracking and monitoring all work within assigned areas looking for cost overruns, inefficiency, incorrect workload standards, training deficiencies, support deficiencies and taking steps to resolve problems by determining the cause, finding a solution, and taking corrective action.
