Requirements

As an Aide Trainee, you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid in-classroom and on-the-job training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with intellectual disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period as an Aide Trainee, you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours during training: 1st shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.
• Work hours after training: 2nd shift 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.
• Rotating schedule with every third weekend off.
• Travel and overtime as needed.
• Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,245.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• No previous experience needed, training provided.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
