This job involves working as an aerospace engineer for the Navy, focusing on supporting and maintaining military aircraft like the MQ-25 drone to ensure they stay reliable and safe during use.
You'll investigate technical problems, lead engineering projects, and recommend fixes to improve how these planes are repaired and operated.
It's a great fit for experienced engineers who enjoy hands-on problem-solving in a team setting and have a background in aircraft maintenance.
You will serve as an AEROSPACE ENGINEER in the MQ-25 FST ENGINEERING DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Exhibiting a thorough understanding of Air Vehicle (AV) in-service fleet support and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) related to reliability centered maintenance (RCM); 2) Providing AV RCM engineering guidance to others; 3) Analyzing AV RCM related issues; and 4) Drafting RCM engineering technical products.
