Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing technical oversight and direction to manage in the design, development, and implementation of aerospace programs or underwater launch programs in order to devise effective solutions that solve program constraints.

  • You will serve as the project engineer for the technical and program management aspects of assigned Underwater Launcher Systems (ULS), Tactical and Support Equipment.
  • You will guide, monitor, coordinate, and interpret technical requirements and engineering specifications for contractor and government design efforts.
  • You will perform analysis, design, and operation of aerospace vehicles and structures, including production, fabrication, operation, and maintenance.
  • You will identify, develop, and implement solutions to problems, risks, and potential outcomes in the assigned program area.
  • You will review and authenticate design disclosure documents, contractor proposals, engineering changes, and trouble/failure reports to verify conformance to requirements.
  • You will represent the Command on numerous committees and working groups with the Department of Defense (DOD), Navy Warfare Centers, contractor personnel, and industry consultants.
  • You will manage team activities, progress, and scheduling to ensure successful project performance.
  • You will provide scientific, technical, professional guidance, and acquisition advice to managers and engineers
