Full Job Description

The Administrative Services Officer 4 will be in the Metro Water Services System Services Division.

The primary role of this position is to provide administrative and operational leadership for the division by managing schedules, supporting program planning, establishing short- and long-term goals, and improving office efficiency.

Employees at Metro Water Services work around the clock to ensure high quality drinking water, the best in storm water management and wastewater treatment, soil and water conservation, waste and recycling for the residents of Nashville-Davidson County and some surrounding areas. It takes electricians, chemists, engineers, mechanics, information technology workers, customer service representatives, utility equipment operators and more working together to meet our resident’s needs.

Requirements

  • Performs any combination of administrative duties in assigned division including preparing and managing project schedules and work assignments.
  • Participates in program planning for division.
  • Formulates long and short-range goals, objectives, and operating efficiencies for the office support section.
  • Directs preparation of administrative, work production, and special reports.
  • Evaluates programs regularly to ensure efficiency and consistency with department goals and policies.
  • Documents and maintains all processes for specific groups within System Services.
  • Develops and implements automative reports as requested or based on need.
  • Serves as Technical Lead or PM (Service Link) for any software related upgrades/changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree plus three (3) or more years of professional experience in an administrative, financial, technical, or related field.
