This role involves leading administrative operations for a weather training center in the Florida Air National Guard, overseeing areas like logistics, personnel, and emergency response while advising on policies and programs for the weather career field.
It requires managing teams, analyzing program effectiveness, and solving complex issues to support military missions.

This National Guard position is for a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1991000 and is part of the FL 125th FW, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C.
709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.
Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

MILITARY GRADE(S): Officer: O3 thru O5 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations.
Supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques.
Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS12 Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education, or training using quantitative and qualitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs.
Experience developing the mission and work processes of programs throughout the military organization and multi-level agencies. Experience in analytical and investigative techniques.
Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Major Duties:
As a Administrative Officer, GS-0341-12, you will serve as the Commandant of the WRTC and the Lead Weather Officer for the NGB Functional Area Manager (FAM) and Career Field Manager (CFM) responsible for a wide diversity of functions including logistics, information systems, manpower and personnel, public affairs, recruiting and retention, civil engineering, medical and state emergency response.
Advises on the development, execution, and evaluation of programs and policies pertaining to the command, control, operations and management of the Weather Career Field.
Monitors the effectiveness of programs through inspection, observation, report review or analysis. Develops and recommends policy that is consistent with the guidance of the Adjutant General.
Resolves difficult and sensitive mission oriented problems through audits, inspections, complaints or investigations.
Formulates and develops long-range plans and programs and short-term strategic plans.
Serves on national committees and advisory groups for long-range planning, special initiative studies and integrated planning.
