About the Position: This is an Administrative Officer, GS-0341-09 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District. This position is located in Sallisaw, OK.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing administrative support to an organization, to include personnel support or position management; AND 2) assisting an organization with budget execution, time keeping, and/or training/travel coordination; AND 3) coordinating personnel actions with management and human resources office.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.

in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Major Duties:

  • Responsible for preparing, justifying and executing the project's budget and also includes oversite of subordinate organization's budgets.
  • Coordinates personnel action requests with the Managers and Operations Project Manager, and District Administrative Officer.
  • Provides oversight and liaison with navigation administrative and clerical support employees engaged in a variety of functions such as travel; budget; personnel actions; property management; records management and disposal; and space utilization.
  • Evaluates and recommends movement and transfer of funds and budget within projects and activities.
  • Processes new employees, retirement actions, and employee benefits, forwarding documents, reports, forms to Operations Division, Security, and HRD.
